On page 244, the Finch Family is given a porch load of food, but Atticus says they must never do this again. How is this an emotional scene? Look at the context for other issues that you may want to discuss.

Because eveyone is thankful for what Atticus did he did what no one would do he defended a black man and showed everyone how racist they actually are and they wanted to repay them and that is the only way they could.
It is an emotionial scene because Atticus has worked extremely hard for a long time on this case that ended in a guilty verdict, so now Tom's family feels that they need to repay them. Though Atticus does not want it.
He didn't want them to do it again because he already knew who supported him and who didn't and these people didn't need to give up their already scarce amounts of food just to prove that they supported him. He felt bad that they gave that to him when he didn't need it and they did.

I agree with Kelsie but I also think that Atticus didnt want them to do it again because most people couldn't afford to give up that much food
i agree with kelsie because Atticus feels bad about losing his case and he feels like he doesnt deserve the food

he may have felt bad about the situtaion they were in but he also has other feelings about it obvously!
Atticus may have melt bad for lossing but they also didn't have the money to pay for all that food
